Best Dressed Coaches w/ Steve Lavin
The best dressed coaches in college basketball is a topic that has largely been ignored in this year's blog. With the Sweet Sixteen nearly upon us, we need to step up our game. Annie...I'm looking to you for some outstanding insights and information in this all-too-important area of March Madness. To get things rolling, here is Steve Lavin talking about sharply dressed coaches, as well as his own style over the years. Does the ex-UCLA coach deserve to be an authority on fashion? You tell me.

What is this goddamn fluff? You're going soft Mr. Huntington. Joe Lunardi, or Katz would never stoop to this level.
ReplyDeleteHey anonymous...you want a piece of advice?
ReplyDeleteShut up.
(p.s. "not one dime back")
This is no fluff, fluff is the World Baseball Classic or the CBI tournament, those things are, in the words of our Presidne, "Like the Special Olympics or something." (classic, I love the pres's zing here, too bad everyone has to be politcally correct and he had to apologize). This is important stuff especially cause my guy is on the list, but deservidly so. You look at Wright and you know how serious he is about coaching, you look at people like Bob Huggins or Mike Brey or Al Skinner and you know they wake up in the morning, throw on some brute instead of showering and then just throw on whatever is on the floor of their closet.
ReplyDeleteMatt...you obviously have no idea who "anonymous" was, but you said about three things that would really agitate him. Freaking hilarious!
ReplyDeleteIf Anonymous thinks that Joe Lunardi and Andy katz are the level that this blog aspires to, I have to question whether he has been reading the blog at all.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous was just taking a jab at Mr. Huntington. There was no serious malice intended. Just teasing him really. It is very nice to know that Mr. Huntington has such nice friends that would come to his defense.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even read all of Matt's post because it was too long, but if you think Mike Brey is not serious about coaching you're nuts. Isn't he the two-time Big East coach of the year?
